CAN Policy on Fairtrade Coffee and Tea

This policy was passed to formalise existing practice. CAN recognises that it can be a positive role model in using fairly traded products. We also recognise that the co-operative sector played a vital role in the establishment of the Fair Trade movement and that we should encourage inter-trading with other co-operatives in line with the Co-operative Principle of Co-operation among Co-operators.

CAN will purchase Fair trade coffee and tea sourced from suppliers in the co-operative sector for use in its offices.
